Access & practical information
How do I get to the estancia?

El Pedral is located at Punta Ninfas, 73 km from Puerto Madryn and 100 km from Trelew airport. Access is via a gravel road — we recommend taking care if you arrive in your own vehicle. For greater comfort and safety, please check road conditions in advance; we can arrange transfers on prior request.

Can I arrive in my own vehicle?

Yes, you may arrive in your own vehicle, although we do not recommend it. If you choose this option, please check road conditions beforehand and notify us when you set off, so our team can monitor your journey and assist if necessary. There is no mobile signal or Wi-Fi along the route.

Is the lodge suitable for children?

Yes, the lodge welcomes children. Many activities can be enjoyed as a family; we recommend asking about the minimum age for each outing, as some involve walking on uneven terrain.

Are pets allowed?

No. El Pedral is a Natural Wildlife Refuge and domestic animals can seriously affect local wildlife behaviour and wellbeing, especially during nesting season.

Is camping allowed?

No. Camping is not permitted at Estancia El Pedral. Experiences take place exclusively at the lodge and designated areas, to preserve the natural environment and the safety of wildlife and visitors.

Is the lodge available for private events?

Events can be organised at the lodge with prior coordination with our team. We adapt each proposal to the type of event, season, and availability, always in keeping with the natural setting and pace of El Pedral.

Your stay
When is the lodge open?

The lodge opens from August to April, marking the start of a new season of experiences in Patagonia.

What is the recommended minimum stay?

We recommend a minimum of 2 nights. With 3 nights you gain a fuller sense of the place and access to most outings available in season.

What are check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is from 3:00 p.m. Check-out is by 10:00 a.m.

If you plan to arrive before check-in time, we recommend letting us know in advance. Subject to operational availability that day, we may offer early access to some spaces, activities, or services at the estancia.

What is included in the stay?

Full board: accommodation, breakfast, lunch or picnic depending on the activity, afternoon tea, dinner, a selection of house wines and water with meals, plus our guided experience programme.

Not included: bar drinks, external transfers, or laundry service.

Can meals be adapted for dietary requirements?

Yes. Please let us know when booking so the team can design a special menu for you.

Experiences & wildlife
How is the activity programme defined?

There are no fixed itineraries. Each evening the team plans the next day according to weather, wildlife, and guest preferences. This flexibility is part of what makes every visit unique.

Do you receive day visitors without an overnight stay?

Yes. For those who cannot stay overnight, Estancia El Pedral offers a day visit — a coordinated experience to discover the surroundings and enjoy an authentic Patagonian lunch on a countryside day near Puerto Madryn.

Can guests have contact with wildlife?

No. El contacto con la fauna no está permitido, ya que todo el entorno está cuidadosamente gestionado para no alterar su comportamiento ni su hábitat natural. Las experiencias están pensadas para observar a los animales en libertad, respetando siempre su bienestar.

Payments
Is a deposit required to book?

Yes. To confirm a reservation we request a deposit, the amount of which may vary depending on the experience chosen.

Each proposal — whether a stay, day visit, or excursions — is organised in a personalised way, with close, tailored attention. Before confirming, we get in touch to coordinate every detail and design an experience that matches what each guest is looking for.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept bank transfer in Argentine pesos and payment in US dollars or euros for international bookings. We have a card terminal at the estancia. Contact us for options according to your country of origin.
