For those who cannot stay overnight, Estancia El Pedral offers a day visit — a coordinated experience to discover the surroundings and enjoy an authentic Patagonian lunch near Puerto Madryn.
Guided walk to the Magellanic penguin colony, with bilingual guides, small groups and adherence to Wildlife Refuge protocols. Operates daily except Tuesdays; minimum 2 guests.
What a Day Visit at El Pedral looks like
Arrival and welcome
Arrival at Estancia El Pedral — 73 km from Puerto Madryn via a Patagonian gravel road. The team welcomes the group with time to settle in before heading out into the countryside.
Guided walk to the penguin colony
Interpretive tour of the Magellanic penguin colony in its natural habitat. One of El Pedral's most intimate experiences: no fences, dedicated guide and small groups.
Gastronomic experience
Patagonian lunch at the estancia: spit-roast lamb, seasonal accompaniments and dessert. Soft drinks, house wine and beer included.
Lighthouse, shearing shed and farewell
Visit to Punta Ninfas Lighthouse and tour of the shearing shed. The experience concludes around 4:30 p.m.; timings may vary according to weather, tide and group dynamics.
